I became a figure skating coach in hopes of passing on my love and passion for this wonderful sport to others. Personally, I strive to be more than just an ice skating teacher. I hope to inspire each of my students to grow individually both on and off of the ice. I believe that athletes have a tremendous opportunity to learn important, unique life skills and lessons that are not often taught in a school classroom. Through sports, kids learn self-discipline on a different level. They learn to push themselves to reach their full potential mentally and physically which is something that I believe will be incredibly valuable down the road. In my teaching methodology I encourage my athletes to utilize the gift of figure skating as a creative emotional outlet and hope to promote a greater sense of self confidence that they can take with them and apply in all future endeavors.
